Glenn Beck Program, April 7, 2011

Perfect Storm

Glenn see a lot of pressures in the world happening at the same time; a perfect storm. He feels it is possible for those to lead to a catastrophic global collapse.

“Doom and Gloom”?

He showed a video clip from Good Morning America where they showed Glenn on his program with a voice-over discussing him as a “doom and gloom” conspiracy theorist. He suggested that there might be something in events unfolding around the world like…

Global financial crisis
Food prices rising around the world
Inflation
Middle Eastern uprisings
Oil problems
Radical Islamists grabbing power in the Middle East
Radical Islamists teaming up with socialists in Europe
Natural disasters

Glenn said that the message he is trying to send is not “doom and gloom” but to prepare people for what’s coming.

Japan

He referred to his map of the world with crisis points highlighted. Japan was one of those crisis points and not just from the earthquake.

Prior to the earthquake, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) listed Japan as one of the countries that could not withstand a major domestic problem.
After the quake, the Japanese central banks started printing money to help ease the economic disruption.
Central bankers all over wanted to help, so they too are printing money.
Japan’s problems impact Louisiana – they can’t get parts from Japan to make things.
This one event is rippling across the globe.

Spain and Portugal

Previously there were dire predictions about Spain and Portugal.

Now there are no warnings, etc., but both countries are in trouble.
If they fail, will banks fail?
Will Europe fail?
Will things become more unstable or less?
All the instabilities noted above are increasing the pressure.

Food Prices

With food prices increasing, we are burning food for fuel.

In this country, corn is being used for ethanol.
In China, they are burning 98% of the world’s cassava chips for fuel.

Cassava is the 3^rd largest source of carbohydrates in the world.
The price has doubled since 2008.

Do you have a right to food?

Glenn asks if we remember the program during which he discussed Cass Sunsteen and increased agricultural regulations that increased the cost of food. Now, Cass Sunsteen and the Food and Drug Administration are questioning your right to food. In “FDA on the right to food”…

“…produce, obtain and consume the foods of their choice. There is no deeply rooted historical tradition of unfettered access to food of all kinds…to the …contrary, society’s long history of food regulation stretches back to the dietary laws of biblical times.”

People are vulnerable to instability. People are struggling for food, all over the globe. Also, fuel, jobs and money – due to inflation. He asks if this makes a country more stable or less.

What’s to worry?

Those same people are telling you today not to worry. If they are wrong, don’t worry. With God, values, the Constitution and each other, if we stick together we will be fine.

Glenn drew boxes on the world map to combine countries for ease of visualizing problems.

Radical Islam

Spreading into West Africa, Asia, Spain, Greece and Turkey.
Russia is having problems with radical Islamists.
A U.S. general is warning the government of the increase in Iran’s visits to Venezuela.

Flights have doubled since 2005.

Chavez has nationalized a number of entire industries.
Brazil has just elected a Marxist revolutionary as president.
There are reports that Hezbollah is now in South America.

Hezbollah is Iranian.

Mexico

Glenn discussed the violence in Mexico and featured one figure, a noted poet who lost his son to drug cartel violence.

That man is advocating bringing together the police and drug cartels to stop the violence.
Glenn then showed a video of people in Mexico marching with signs asking for the violence to stop.
Remember Glenn has said that when people are desperate enough, they will accept promises from anyone to solve the problem.

Glenn said that we in the U.S. are far behind the rest of the world in terms of social violence.

You must ask yourself “Is the global trend to be more unrest or less.”

George Soros

Mr. Soros is holding two conferences.

This is to be a third Breton Woods conference, Breton Woods III.

· Glenn suggests looking up the Breton Woods conferences I and II to see what they did.

· The objective of the conference is to…

“Establish new international rules and a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order.”

2. This one is “The National Conference for Media Reform”.

· Glenn put up magnetic logos of the organizations that were attending this conference. Almost all were George Soros funded organizations attending this George Soros event.

Freedom

Glenn wonders why other people are not reporting on this? His big problem is that he doesn’t see any leaders around the world talking about freedom. The whole world is up for grabs.

New Alliances

· Iran and Turkey (a NATO member)

· Iran and Russia (Built the Iranian nuclear power plant)

· Iran and Egypt

· Saudi Arabia and China (Saudi Arabia is negotiating with China to sell them oil)

Influential

Glenn noted that on the Time magazine list of the 100 most influential people in the world, George Soros was not even on the list. Glenn was in Number 5 position.

Glenn is Leaving the Show

Glenn is leaving the program, but not leaving Fox.

It will be later on this year.

Because he reads progressive documents, he can see the signs as events occur.

For example, the Tunisian revolution he saw as an event that could be an “Archduke Ferdinand” moment.
That is, an event that is unnoticed at the time that leads to greater events down the road.
The assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand led to World War One.

Energy prices are going up, food inflation, spontaneous riots, unions, violence and political unrest. They’ve happened before, but now they are cascading.
He has “virtual researchers” who do research on topics Glenn doesn’t have time to research. They are mostly college students. He showed a global map and indicated points on the map that had been highlighted in various countries because there have been significant events that have happened there recently.
“The Coming Insurrection”, he feels is a blueprint for coming events.

He recommended it first in July 2009.
It may be viewed as a history book by the end of the year.
The actions called for in this book may be dismissed by many because people have a “Normalcy Bias”.

That is they want things to be normal and view out-of-the-ordinary events with almost denial in an effort to see the normal in the non-normal.

He discussed how news is presented today – as isolated events with little or no context for them. And how this leads you feeling that all this disjointed activity can’t affect you.
He will show a number of events and doesn’t claim that they are all coordinated. It’s more like “the invisible hand” in economics. He showed some cell phones and discussed how the producers of cell phones coalesce around the winning design, not because there is a single individual planning for it, but because that is how successful ideas are adopted in their particular industry.
When he looks at the news, he sees that Western ideals and capitalism are dead.
He showed a long list of names of people that are in the news. They differ, but all want the same thing.

They want a different world.
And they will seek to use a crisis to trigger that change.
As an example, he picked the IMF and showed a quote from an IMF spokesperson that said that to achieve a new world, things would have to change from the market towards the state.

Egypt

Everyone praised the revolution before anyone knew much about it.
Glenn advocated waiting to see what exactly was happening.
For instance, in the 2008 election, both Obama and McCain were talking “change”.

Neither one defined it, but it meant different things to those two.
Then, people were in love with “change”. Now, they are raving about “democracy”.
Democracy in those countries undergoing revolution has not been defined.

The New York Times wrote…

“For many people, life today is even harder than before, especially for the poor and for those who survive on tourism. No one is joking…There is no happiness, no work. The country is a mess.”

Glenn suggests remembering “Life is …harder…for the poor.”

From the AP; “Islamists look for gains.”

“Attacked Christians and liquor stores, trying to impose their austere version of Islamic law on provincial towns.”

They use intimidation to accomplish their goals. Make note of the union tactics in Madison, Wisconsin.

He then discussed Samantha Power and how she is described in The Nation magazine…

“War as an instrument of achieving her liberal, even radical, values.”

Ms Power has President Obama’s ear. She has been closely associated with George Soros.

France

Leaders from France, England and Germany have discussed the failure of multiculturalism.
A Muslim leader in France said…

“This fascist climate evokes the somber history of the occupation in France which sent thousands of Jews by train to the death camps.”

He showed a picture of Muslims kneeling in prayer in the street of a French city.

They completely filled the street for more than a block.

Now, socialists, communists and anarchists have come out in support of the Muslims.

Glenn feels that this mixture of secular radicals together with the religious fundamentalists can lead to large events breaking out.
He suggests watching for the combination of communists, socialists and unions.

Also the Freedom Flotilla.

Freedom Flotilla

It is scheduled for May.
A number of countries were shown supporting the Freedom Flotilla.
A Canadian spokesperson for the Canadian ship said…

“Netanyahu’s vow to use force is tantamount to a death threat against the Canadian and international participants in the flotilla…What will candidates running in this election do to ensure the safety and security of those on board the Canadian boat to Gaza.”

Glenn feels that Israel is being set up.

Discusses Departure

Glenn again discussed leaving the program.

He said he would continue to develop material in different formats.
He encourages everyone to step up his or her efforts.

Budget

Republicans want to cut $40 billion from this year’s budget. This amounts to…

3.3% of the yearly deficit
1.05% of the 2011 budget
0.28% of the entire National Debt (Most important to our kids.)

Normalcy Bias

Normalcy bias is the tendency to discount out-of-the-ordinary events as not real and to hold on to the view that normalcy still exists. (Ed – My definition.)

Glenn discussed how some of the people in the World Trade Center buildings reacted after the airplanes struck the building. Some wanted to go back to their offices to turn off their computer, or pick up their coat, etc.

Coordinated Demonstrations

Glenn showed a split screen view of several union demonstrations from different countries around the world.
They were demonstrating against capitalism and the western way of life.
He discussed the Madison, WI rally and noted the large number of young people.

Lenin, he said, had a term for them – useful idiots.

Glenn said that when other media outlets criticize him for pointing out all the communist and socialist signage, etc, they don’t refute the claim, they call him crazy.

These organizations are coordinating. They are socialists, communists, radicals, and unions.

If you are in a union, your union is working with socialists and communists.

He went on to show other socialist web sites and papers.
Following that he showed this from Sam Web, the Head of the Communist Party USA…

“The battle in Wisconsin electrified (for good reasons) this whole country. But the counteroffensive is not just Wisconsin. It is national in scope, diverse in form, creative in tactics, and united in action. This nationwide tapestry of struggle is multi-threaded, woven in varied patterns, loops and colors.”

Glenn asks why there are no hearings in Washington? It is not just here in the U.S. It is global in scope. He then held up a collection of letters from unions from all over the world saying the same message, the same way.
He then played an audio clip of Francis Fox Piven on Revolution…

Piven: “Look at Egypt. Look at the protests in England…and to Bahrain and perhaps Libya…I think we may see a series of protest movements in the U.S.”
Host: “Would you think, Francis, that the movement could be led with these students?”
Piven: “I think it could happen. I hope it will happen.”

The goal of these revolutions is the overthrow of their governments.

The unions want the same thing here.
On the screen behind Glenn was presented a list of a number of unions and organizations in countries around the world pledging solidarity with the union efforts in Madison, WI.

Zombies

He then showed a video of one rally where the signs read, “Eat the Rich” and “Eat their Brains”. There were children at that rally and many of them were made up to look like zombies, complete with blood dripping down their chins onto their chests.

Collective Bargaining

FDR was against collective bargaining for government workers.
Even the head of the AFL-CIO in 1955 came out against it saying it was “impossible to collectively bargain with the government.”

Hijacking History

Glenn encouraged everyone to become educated on this history of the country. He said that history was being hijacked.
He recapped Bill Ayres history…

Bombings
People were killed in an armed robbery.
Glenn showed a video of an FBI informant discussing the Weather Underground’s plan for post-revolution re-education camps and the willingness to kill 25 million people that they estimated would not convert to their ideology.

Glenn then showed union letters to the businesses in Madison, relative to the signs the unions wanted the business to display.

“Failure to do so will leave us no choice but to do a public boycott of your business. And sorry, neutral means ‘no’ to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members.”

Glenn asks if this sounds like love or is more like a threat.

Some Union History

1877 – B&L railroad workers went on strike. Their wages had been cut twice. The state militia was called, but they sided with the workers and didn’t do anything. Protests spread to several states. Protesters took control of several cities, destroying property. Ultimately, federal troops were sent in.

The New York Times reported “Anarchy in Italy: Many are Killed: Warships Ready”. This uprising ended in Mussolini taking control.

It all starts with intimidation. In Wisconsin, unions are saying that the states are not broke. The states have the money.

In California, they need a 20% return on their investments just to make ends meet. Who can get that? That’s Bernie Madoff territory. Does that make sense?
Florida’s budget assumed a 7% return, but over the last decade they actually received 2.6%.
Glenn referred back to Stephen Lerner’s Economic Terrorism plan to collapse the stock market. He pointed out that the pension funds of unions and government workers are invested in the stock market and wonders how that will work out.

Van Jones

Glenn discussed the 9/11 attacks and how most people drew together the next day. Then he showed a video of Van Jones speaking at a rally on September 12^th, the day after the attack. In part, this is what Van Jones had to say.

“We want to also understand though, that their lives were lost because of our government’s inhumane foreign policy. And, we should be angry and we should be ****ed off at what our country does around the rest of the world that leads us not to be safe here.”

“It’s the bombs that the government has been dropping around the world that are now blowing up inside U.S. borders. We have something stronger than bombs. We have solidarity.”

Glenn suggests people be careful where you stand. Like his mother used to tell him “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” Union members, decide who you want to stand with. This will be the summer of revolution.

Fight Back USA! Teach In

The Teach In was held today with 269 campuses across the U.S. participating.
From William Paterson University was this…

“Employee unions to unite and take back the statehouse…we must fight against all assaults on the public good.”

Fight Back was billed as a “60s style teach-in meets the digital age in live stream webcast.”
The stars of the Teach In were Francis Fox Piven, Cornell West and Richard Trumpka, President of the AFL-CIO union.
Key National Groups Associated with the Teach In

American Federation of Teachers
National Education Association
Many, many others.
Many of these are financed by George Soros.

Tree of Corporate Destruction

Glenn held up a drawing of the “Tree of Corporate Destruction” that looked similar to his “Tree of Revolution” he developed several months ago.

He showed an old 60s picture of Francis Fox Piven taken at Columbia University. In the picture, she is climbing up the side of a building and being helped by a student, Tom Haden.

Tom Haden started the 60s radical group, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in 1961.
Recently, Tom wrote an article for the left wing magazine The Nation “Samantha Power Goes to War (March 30, 2011)

“Over a long conversation with Power in December 2003, I was struck by the generational factor in her thinking. If she had experienced Vietnam in her early twenties, I felt she would have joined the radical left, suspicious always of American power. She began to see war as an instrument to achieve her liberal, even radical values.”

Glenn notes that she is the White House advisor on Human Rights and has Obama’s ear. Now we don’t have war for oil, we have war for radical values.
Glenn discussed some of the radicals around President Obama and others like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn helping to organize the “Freedom Flotilla” set to sail to Gaza in May.

“Disconnected” Events

He also discussed other “completely disconnected” events such as…

Starting a 3^rd war in a Muslim country.
Keeping Gitmo open even though he claimed it was inflaming the Muslim world
Calling for the youth of the Middle East to rise up and then ignoring the rising up in Iran.

Lastly he discussed five Christians arrested in Iran for blasphemy.

Their crime was to hold church in their homes.
They have been in jail for a year already.
Their trial starts today or tomorrow.

Africa and the Middle East

Glenn showed a map of North Africa and the Middle East highlighting countries with uprisings.
He noted that we are arming rebels in Libya even though Al Queda is involved with them.
He then showed a video clip of President Obama speaking to the people of the Ivory Coast. Obama was encouraging the people to accept the winner of the election for President, Alassono Ouattoro, even though supporters of Ouattoro have killed about 1,000 demonstrators over the last 3 days.
Glenn asks about the “Responsibility to Protect” the people in the Ivory Coast.
Glenn showed a quote from National Security Advisor on the Libyan intervention…

“We don’t make decisions about questions like intervention based on consistency or precedent…”

The French have sent in troops to help quell the violence in the Ivory Coast.

Afghanistan

Glenn showed some video of demonstrators in Afghanistan rioting because some preacher in Florida burned a copy of the Koran.

Harry Reid said that he would look into the two ministers burning the Koran.
Glenn then continued the video of the Afghan demonstration showing them burning the American flag and shouting “Death to America”.

Destroying Israel

Glenn then discussed his theory that Islamists, communists, socialists and radicals are working together to destroy Israel. As additional proof, he showed a quote from the Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was quoted in an article “Israel Asks the U.N. to Prevent Gaza Flotilla”…

“Being organized by Islamic extremist elements , among others…”

Glenn notes that among the “others” is the Free Gaza Movement. That Movement is composed of, among others, Code Pink, Bill Ayres, Women for Peace, Bernadine Dorn. The Movement is quoted as saying…

“We sail not just for Gaza. We sail to confront and challenge an entire apartheid regime that must be dismantled through citizen action.”

· The U.N. has not responded.

· Mohamed El Baradei, an Egyptian spokesperson announced…

“If Israel attacked Gaza we would declare war against the Zionist regime.”

· The Egyptian military will be meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. They want to work more closely together.

· Glenn reviewed the Facebook page advocating a Third Palestinian Intifada (uprising). The page includes…

“Judgment day will be brought upon us only once the Muslims have killed all the Jews…”

· The page has 340,000 Friends.

· This page was replaced by one advocating all Arabs march on Israel on May 15^th for the Palestinian “Right of Return”.

· May 15^th is also the day the 2^nd Gaza Freedom Flotilla sails for Gaza.

Bashing America

Glenn then displayed a letter to President Obama from European Islamic students which includes the following…

“Unlike in the past, the world is no longer your playground where you make up rules and force them upon oppressed nations in order to determine their destiny. The nations of the world have vowed and are determined to shape their own destinies by overthrowing and driving out the Western imposed dictators. Your government was condemned a long time ago in the court of public opinion and what you see today is the result of the deep disgust and hatred for your government’s oppressive policies and actions.”

· Glenn discussed the threats against America and Israel and how the countries are not perfect. But each person needs to decide what is good and what is evil and which side they are on.

Howard Dean

· He showed a video clip of Howard Dean speaking a Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Dean referred back to his Iowa campaign and said that his screech there did not sound there like it was portrayed on Fox News. Then Glenn showed the original clip of Dr Dean’s screech.

· Dean goes on to say that the Right wing of today is a bad as the Left was back in the ‘60s. Glenn asks for pictures of blown up buildings and dead bodies from the Tea Party people of today like those of the 60s (and he then showed pictures of the Weather Underground bombings – Bill Ayres).

· He replayed a portion of the audio clip of Stephen Lerner’s plan for Economic Terrorism – also due to start in Mid-May.

Another Non-Story About the Left

· He showed a picture of a young woman and discussed that she is a teacher in Wisconsin.

· She emailed death threats to Wisconsin legislators.

· Glenn’s staff performed a Lexus Nexus search on the incident, which turned up zero instances of this being reported in the mainstream media.

Leftist Rallies

· He discussed the “We Are One” rallies scheduled all over the country today on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s death.

o He showed quotes from several union leaders about supporting the rallies today.

o Then he showed a list of socialist and communist organizations also supporting the rallies.

· Tomorrow, the “Fight Back USA! National Teach In” chaired by Francis Fox Piven and Cornell West will be held.

· Two hundred four campuses will participate.

Is there a Sharia threat to America?

The Wall Street Journal this week reported that Islamists, communists, radical leftists and socialists are working together in the Middle East. Glenn adds that it is also happening in America.

Sharia

Muslims are obligated to wage Jihad.
There are two kinds of Jihad.

1. Violent – Self-explanatory.

2. Steal or ‘civilization’ – An inner struggle.

Jihad with Money

· Glenn showed the video clip of Yusuf Al Qaradawi.

· He is the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, and he is

· The ninth most powerful Muslim in the world.

· This is the video where he discusses killing all the Jews.

· He also said, in 2006, about charity to the BBC…

“I don’t like this word ‘donations’. I like to call it jihad with money because God has ordered us to fight enemies with our lives and our money.”

· Jihad is being waged against America in a number of different venues as Muslims join the judicial system, the banking system, the educational system, etc.

Sharia Compliant

Sharia Compliant Banking

· Must insure that all financial transactions comply with all aspects of Islamic law. For instance,

o Purchases must not be made of pork products

o Or, alcohol products.

o Interest must not be made on loans.

· Sharia requires Muslims to tithe a percentage of their income to charity.

o So Sharia compliant banks and mutual funds must tithe a percentage to charity.

o Which charities?

o Those charities are determined by a Sharia Banking Advisor.

o Some banks have Yusuf Al Qaradawi as their advisor.

o The U.S. Treasury Dept shut one of the banks he advised down.

· Islamic banking has entered the Western banking system via…

o HSBC

o Citigroup

o Barclays

o Deuche Bank

o Others

o That is not necessarily a bad thing until you get down to the Sharia Compliance Advisors to those banks.

· AIG is the world’s largest Sharia compliant insurance company.

o We, the American taxpayer, own it.

o The government took it over in 2008.

· Chris – Regarding Compliance Advisors, there aren’t that many Sharia scholars.

o There are only about 200 that can sit on compliance boards.

o The two names you have on the board are the superstars.

o They both sit on multiple boards.

o Those boards control billions of dollars.

o They make about $50,000 per board.

· Daniel –Yusuf is prevented from entering the U.S. because of a book he wrote.

o Yusuf is prevented from entering the U.S. because of a book he wrote.

o He serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. based Islamic American University from overseas.

o He and the Muslim Brotherhood are seen as “moderate” because they are not actively plotting and carrying out attacks against the U.S.

A discussion about a Muslim hedge fund, Sharia Capital, Inc. ensues.

· Chris – The advisor to that fund was educated at a madrassa in Pakistan that has graduated a number of jihadis.

· Sharia compliant banking is a Trojan Horse used to get Sharia introduced into a country, e.g., England.

Glenn – The pentagon studied the large exodus of capital in 2008 that triggered the financial crisis. They think it might have been a test run, but they don’t know by whom.

Chris – The largest Sharia compliant funds in the world are controlled by Iran. They have twice as much as Saudi Arabia.

Daniel – People have missed the advance of Sharia in the legal, educational, etc., in the U.S. and the Western world.

CAIR is an offshoot of HAMAS.
It is non-violent.
It seeks to install Sharia here in the Untied States.
It is accepted by U.S. media and foundations, but not so much by the government.
The deepest threat to America is polygamy.

He thinks polygamy is coming.
In Britain, their legal system already recognizes polygamy from other countries where it is legal.
Their welfare system recognizes this as well with a different allocation for wife #2, #3, etc.

A discussion ensues of the Iranian rulers and their strong belief in the 12^th Imam (Madhi) and his return. This belief is strong and drives their policies.

Chris – Sharia compliant banking was a concept invented in the 1930s as a way to insulate Muslim countries from the West.

Now they are using it to infiltrate the West.
