Glenn Beck Program, November 30, 2010

The Perfect Storm for America is here.  Glenn showed a clip from “The Wizard of Oz” movie where Dorothy’s relatives were out behind the farmhouse getting into the root cellar, leaving her at the front of the house to deal with the approaching storm on her own.  That is the place we find ourselves today.

  • Unemployment – Unions are counting down until the 99’ers fall off the unemployment insurance rolls.
  • Lack of Trust – Wikileaks is a sample.  You can’t trust the government.  Wikileaks has announced that bank documents will be released in the future.
  • Lack of Appreciation – Americans have received their blessing without effort.  They do not value them because they have not had to earn them.
  • Lack of Education/Apathy – One poll shows 26% of Americans do not know that we broke away from England.
  • Eroding Values – 25% of those under 30 years old self describe themselves as atheists, agnostics or not involved in religion.  The Smithsonian Museum is showing an exhibit where Jesus is depicted covered in ants.
  • Family Breakdown – Time Magazine asks “Why Marriage?”  Forty percent of poll respondents say marriage is obsolete.
  • Debt
  • Overstretched military – He sugggests “adopting” a person in the military or a military family.

The official poverty figure for one person is $21,600.  A private in the Army with 6 years of experience makes $19,465.  The poverty figure for a family of four is $44,100.  Glenn then rattled off figures of how many of the officially poor owned cars, air conditioners, washers and driers and TV sets.  That, he opined, is not poor.  He showed several depression era photos and said that that is poor.

Al Queda is pushing ahead with their Operation Hemorrhage.  This strategy is aimed not to kill large numbers of people, but to bleed us economically.

Senate News

  • The Food Bill passed in the Senate.  This will create another $1.2 billion bureaucracy with enormous powers to control all aspects of food production and delivery.
  • The Senate is now considering the Dream Act.  This act will open a pathway for citizenship for some who go to college, serve in the military, or do other things.  No one knows how much this will cost.

Glenn discussed his upcoming December 2nd, Thursday evening presentation of his book “Broke” that will be shown in theaters nation-wide.  Tickets and locations can be found here - http://www.glennbeck.com/content/events/?ibid=broke.

A convention was held in Los Angeles this weekend, the Party of Socialism and Liberation Conference.  Glenn showed a few clips where speakers were calling for:
  • The destruction of capitalism
  • Build a cadre of activists to take advantage of events.

Being a Pawn vs. a Defender (of values) – that is the upcoming choice.  The Socialists above were seeking pawns that can be manipulated.  Who will win will be determined by how many of each there are.

Glenn asked rhetorically “What is a higher ideal than “All men are created equal.” And what is a higher guarantee than “Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.  He strongly recommends changing yourself to minimize the problems noted above at the top of the program.  He suggest reading

One of the depression era photos he showed was of a poor family with two children.  He then went on to relate some of the Hebrew words that define the story of Passover.  Many of them relate to talking and eating.  He suggested that families have dinner together and gave statistics of how well children did in school and life when they ate dinner as a family five nights per week.

Glenn Beck Program, November 29, 2010

Back to reality.
  • New home sales plummet.
  • Home inventory rises.
  • Home sale prices drop.
  • Ireland bailed out to the tune of $113 billion.
  • Portugal and Spain to follow.
  • North Korea and South Korea tensions.
  • Wikileaks
    • What did we learn?  Is there anything new?
    • Glenn does not feel that the correct questions are being asked.
    • What has Wikileaks released that we didn’t already know?  We pretty much knew the following already:
o       Iran smuggled arms to Hezbollah.
o       North Korea has supplied Iran with a cache of advanced missiles.
o       Possible nuclear cooperation between North Korea and Iran.
o       China is conducting computer sabotage.
o       The US is close to the edge with Pakistan.
o       Putin is the “Alpha-dog” among the Russian leaders.
o       Saudi Arabia is chief financiers of Al Queda.
o       Saudi Arabia has tried to get the US to attack Iran to stop their nuclear program.
      • Washington has been lying to you.
  • Al Queda Operation Hemorrhage: Death of 1,000 cuts.

Glenn showed a clip featuring Howard Dean.  Part of Dean’s message was that the media could have their way with the American people (because they are so limited).

Glenn said that every day he gives a 20-minute monolog, which is unique on television.  He said that there is ample opportunity for people to edit his remarks and make it sound like anything they want to say.  He stressed that you must do your own research and make up your own mind.

We are seeing the “Top Down, Bottom Up, Inside Out” strategy proposed by Van Jones back in June with you in the middle.  They would then hope that you would beg for the top leaders to make the chaos at the bottom go away.

Glenn showed the supporters of the Wikileaks leaker, Private Bradley Manning.
  • Code pink – Also supported the Gaza Flotilla
  • Norm Chompski – Communist
  • Michael Moore
  • Daniel Ellsberg – Author of the Pentagon Papers
  • MDS – The current version of the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society), a violent radical group from the 1960s.
  • Veterans for Peace
  • Answer Coalition
  • These are the same groups that supported the 10/2 rally.
  • The same funders of both – the Tides Foundation
  • The Tides Foundation – George Soros is the major funder (through the Open Society Institute (OSI).
  • The founder of the SDS is now the director of the OSI.

Leaks as “Beautiful and Horrifying”
  • Glenn then showed a quote from Private Manning in which he discusses the leaks as fomenting worldwide anarchy as beautiful and horrifying.
  • Other people and groups that feel the same way about anarchy are the above named people and groups.
  • Wikileaks is part of independent efforts to seize opportunities to bring down the Republic and governments abroad.
  • It is also Step 3 of George Soros’ Five Step program to destabilize a government (Sow distrust in the government by the people.)  [See the Cliff Notes for the November 10th episode for more detail.]

Glenn then showed a video clip of a member of the EU Parliament claiming that the EU leaders were willing to let individual countries self-destruct in order to hold onto the EU collective dream.

This destabilization problem is international in scope.

Glenn then touted an upcoming presentation he will be making nationwide through theaters this Thursday, December 2nd.  During this session, he will be laying out the concepts focused on in his new book “Broke”.  http://www.amazon.com/Broke-Restore-Trust-Truth-Treasure/dp/1439187193/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291092594&sr=8-1

Union News
  • Unions supported the passage of Obamacare in a big way.
  • Glenn then showed a newspaper article in which it was noted that the union SEIU is dropping health care coverage for children of low wage workers.
  • Glenn then noted that this was additional unintended consequence of the Obamacare legislation.
  • He felt that there would be such a huge impact when all the provisions are implemented that the health care system will be so badly broken that the public will cry out for the government to “do something”.
  • The government will then put forward the Public Option as the only solution and claim a public mandate to implement it.

  • GM recently issued an IPO (Initial Public Offering).  The UAW made $3.4 billion on the sale of one third of it’s shares.
  • For the union to break even they will need the share price to grow from it’s current $36.00/share to $52.00/share.  Other experts forecast breakeven at $103/share.
  • The TSA now has approval of Homeland Security to unionize.
  • The TSA has 50,000 people.  If they are unionized, this will bring in an additional $30 million in dues annually to the union.

Senate Bill 510
  • Title is the Food Modernization Act
  • Voting begins tonight.
  • This Bill is a massive expansion of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
  • It mandates many additional controls, inspections, standards, government oversight and company reporting.
  • Principal backer of the Bill is the Monsanto Corporation.
  • The current head of the FDA used to be an executive at Monsanto.
  • As of last quarter, the largest shareholder of Monsanto stock was George Soros.
  • Glenn encourages everyone to contact his or her representative to vote NO on this Bill.

Glenn then provided an update on Amanda Zych, the woman that returned his father’s Revolutionary War coat to him.  (She was on the Nov 26th program.)  She reports that her business is doing great and she has sold hundreds of garments as a result of Glenn’s highlighting her web address on his program and that people are contacting her to sell their period clothing.

Glenn Beck Program, November 26, 2010

There is an audience today.

Glenn continued with his theme of “stuff”.  He showed a video clip of Oprah’s “Favorite Things” episode and her audience’s reaction to hearing that they would be given a car.  He felt that some of those reactions were “over the top”.

He then showed a clip of people waiting in line days in advance to get a new iPhone.  He also noted that in two weeks you could get one of these phones without waiting at all.

Glenn then reviewed the Tower of Babel story (originally aired on the November 18th episode: http://beck-cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2010/11/glenn-beck-program-november-18-2010.html).  This story had King Nimrod trying to turn people into interchangeable “bricks” held together by the mortar of materialism, i.e., “stuff”.

He referred to his book, “Broke”  http://www.amazon.com/Broke-Restore-Trust-Truth-Treasure/dp/1439187193/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290816683&sr=8-1 and an entry on page 7 concerning the Roman Empire as described by Gibbons in his “The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire http://www.amazon.com/History-Decline-Fall-Roman-Empire/dp/B001FOK68G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1290816765&sr=1-3 .  In Gibbons work, he referenced the emphasis the roman emperor placed on providing the people with amusement, entertainment, and “stuff”.  Glenn felt there was a parallel with what is happening today.  In particular, Gibbon’s statement that “The enjoyment of plenty would make the Romans lose the memory of freedom.”  Glenn feels that we are doing the same things today as did the Romans in their time.

Glenn then asked how is it that we don’t understand our own history and talked about his family when he was growing up.  On Thanksgiving they would sit around the dinner table and discuss their stories, their history.  Children, he felt must know their past.  We don not seem to be doing that today.

He showed a revolutionary war coat made for his father and the story behind it.  His father owned a bakery in Mount Vernon, WA.  Mount Vernon was the home of George Washington and the state itself was named for Washington.  In the early 1970s, the large malls came to Mount Vernon and small businesses began to die.  His father came up with the idea of changing the atmosphere of their small town to reflect the revolutionary war period of George Washington so as to create a destination site for tourists.  This coat was an attempt to gain some buy-in by the townsfolk.  He showed a few photographs of the small “militia” that was created by local people to help make that dream a reality.  Unfortunately, the idea did not catch on and the bakery eventually went out of business and the town was very much reduced in size.  Apparently today they have resurrected his father’s idea and are retrying to create a period piece town.

He felt that what his dad tried to do locally, he, Glenn, is trying to nationally.

Guest Ms Amanda Zych.

He then showed a video clip of the woman that found the coat, Ms Amanda Zych, and how she got it to him.  He then brought the woman and her daughter to New York and she was in the audience today.  He brought her up on the stage for an interview.  In summary, she developed a period clothing business to financially survive after a divorce by visiting second hand clothing stores and reselling items on-line (Her web site is www.etsy.com/shop/rogueretro .)  When she found the coat, there was a label inside identifying it back to Glenn’s father.  She contacted Glenn’s organization and sent him the coat.  What amazed Glenn was that she did not want any money for it even though she estimated that her business could sell it for about $300.  He felt that she was a hero for not just going on the public dole and starting an on-line business to help her survive.

The discussion was then extended to the audience.  One person felt that one aspect that was important was that Ms Zych’s daughter was watching her mother and how she dealt with situations.  Glenn then extended this to everyone by noting that everyone’s children were watching them and how they saw their parents reacting to current events – or not.

Guest Rabbi Daniel Lapin

Rabbi Lapin related the story in the bible of Joseph to Glenn’s coat.  Joseph’s brothers tried to kill him.  Once they figured that they could gain nothing from just killing him outright, they instead sold him as a slave.  Much later, Joseph became successful and wealthy.  He was visited by his brothers and sent away with sacks of grain.  Inside those sacks was money.  The moral of the story was that what was really important was the relationship, not the money.  The Rabbi saw that theme in Glenn’s coat story.

Glenn extended that thought by referencing his efforts to get people away from “stuff” and put more importance on relationships.

The Rabbi then commented on the Christmas season and the gift giving associated with that holiday by noting that people are the only beings on the planet that “own” stuff and that charity could not exist if you did not own things, i.e., you cannot give away things that you do not already own.

Glenn and the Rabbi discussed the Roman emphasis on entertainment.  Part of this was the concept of “amusement”.  In the sense that “asymmetrical” means without symmetry and “amoral” means without morals, “amusement” means without muse, i.e., you are not using your imagination and thought.  Others are providing all the imagination and thought and you are just a passive participant in the process.  Again Glenn’s objective was to get people involved with others and not to allow themselves to be diverted and entertained by “stuff”.

Gratitude
  • Two guests
    • Daniel Lapin, Rabbi, Director of the Alliance of Christians and Jews
    • Keith Ablow, Psychiatrist
  • They had a discussion of gratitude, especially as it relates to giving.
    • There are two types of giving situations:
      • The recipient participates somehow in the activity.
      • The recipient has no responsibility or role.  The gift is an entitlement, which ultimately destroys the recipient’s self esteem.

Glenn Beck Program, November 23, 2010

Today’s theme – A shrink session on the economy

Glenn reviewed a number of disturbing events from around the world
  • North Korean artillery shelling Sough Korean island
  • He showed an ad sponsored by the AFL/CIO supporting the workers at TSA
  • Japan announced they are in an economic lull.
  • Iran’s parliament moves to impeach President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  Action stopped by the Ayatollah.
  • Iraq and Afghanistan wars still ongoing – now 9 years into them
  • Ireland – Riots about the IMF bailout.  Portugal next, probably followed by Spain
  • 860 troubled banks
  • U. S. Debt ceiling limit raise looms

  • The Federal Reserve projects higher unemployment and lower economic growth

Five Stages of Grief
  1. Denial – World’s troubles won’t affect America.
  2. Angry – First it was the TEA Party.  Now the left is angry with Obama.
  3. Bargaining
  4. Depression
  5. Acceptance

Somebody is designing the future.  You can be part of that process or be whipsawed because of it.  Glenn talked about natural gas and the announcement of a few days ago where the Chinese announced that many of their new cars would run on natural gas.

Guest – Keith Ablow, Psychiatrist

They had a discussion about denial with the audience.
  • The bigger the threat, the greater the need to deny.
  • Sometimes you avoid information that is uncomfortable

The 8/28 rally got Glenn out of his depression stage and onto acceptance.

Wilmington, OH, The town where 7,500 workers were laid off out of a population of 12,000 gives him hope.

Guest – Army Capt. Scotty Smiley and his wife Tiffany.

Plymouth, MA

Glenn Beck Program, November 22, 2010

George Soros and other progressives are ditching President Obama.

Are You Ready?
  1. Terror – TSA “Operation Hemorrhage”.  Al Queda’s program to defeating America by bleed us to death with lots of small attacks in order to drain us of resources.
  2. Net Neutrality – FCC or Congress.  The FCC has plans to regulate Internet Service Providers for content.  Congress is out of the loop.
  3. Deficit – Debt,  Alan Simpson, co-leader of the Debt Commission, shown in clip predicting a blood bath if the country’s debt limit is not raised in April.
  4. Lack of Jobs à Food Pantries,  A picture was shown of a line of people waiting to get into a food pantry in Washington, D.C 3,000 people long.  Next to that was a picture from the Great Depression of people in soup lines.
  5. Inflation
  6. Dollar “Weakest currency in the world.” So says J. P. Morgan
  7. Cities are broke
  8. China – Friend or foe.  They just arrested a woman on her wedding day for tweeting.  She is to do one year in a labor camp.

Questions to Ask (Don’t talk politics, talk principals and values)
  1. Have you seen the price of food and gas?  Glenn showed a letter from an electric company announcing a 30% rate hike after the first of the year.
  2. Are social security checks going to cover the increased costs?
    1. The government has modified the formula for calculating inflation to remove food and energy costs.
    2. Historically, the way to suck up the excess dollars in the system that causes inflation has been to raise interest rates.
    3. How high will rates have to be to remove the quantity of excess dollars now being printed?
  3. Cities cannot pay teacher’s pensions.  Will the taxpayer be forced to pick up the tab?
  4. A proposal:
    1. If you are over 65, you get social security;
    2. If you are over 60, you work until you are 68;
    3. If you are over 55, you work ‘till you are 70;
    4. If you are under 50, you get no social security.

China is now being spoken of as being the new model for the type of government to have.  Another term these days for communism is National Socialism or state capitalism.  That is word games.

December 15th the show will be from Wilmington, OH.  Come on down!

At Baltimore and Philadelphia, they held public bible readings.  This is National Bible Week, established in 1941.

Judge Napolitano was a guest.  He and Glenn discussed the TSA pat downs.

Glenn Beck Program, November 18, 2010

An audience of moms today.

Glenn starts by showing a video clip of Senator Rockefeller advocating the FCC shut down Fox News and MSNBC.

He showed another video clip of Senator Rockefeller’s father, David Rockefeller.  In this clip, he is giving a speech and declaring that he is a globalist.

He showed an audio clip of portions of George Soros speeches about how he fundamentally transforms countries.  The clip is also available at www.theblaze.com.  Go listen for yourself.

Glenn discussed Van Jones.  He feels Van Jones is an important, if almost hidden, person acting behind the scenes to advance the progressive agenda.  He noted that Van Jones and Richard Trumpka, the head of the AFL/CIO union, met recently with a senior Soros representative.  Glenn reminded viewers of a Soros quote, “…I’m used to fighting losing battles, but I don’t like to lose without fighting.”

Glenn is concerned that if the radicals don’t think President Obama is not who he says he is, he may be in danger.

John Podesta at the Center for American Progress urges President Obama to advance the progressive agenda via Executive Orders, as it may prove impossible to do so with Congress.

Soros works indirectly by issuing pronouncements.  Followers then act upon those pronouncements.  His latest was issued yesterday.  In part, “…if the President can’t do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.”

Soros visits the White House several times this year.  During one of these visits, he brought Christina Chen.  Now, Ms Chen is the Chief of Staff for Michelle Obama.

Activists are needed to give the president a reason to intervene.

Glenn referred back to the Tower of Babel story and King Nimrod’s strategy to make people all the same, “bricks”.  The mortar to hold all the people together was materialism.  Glenn is concerned that today our principals and traditions are being lost.  A recent poll shows only 4 in 10 Americans think marriage is relevant.  Things, possessions, are the only things holding our culture together.  And what happens if we lose those things?  Many people are living from paycheck to paycheck; more than forty million people are on food stamps, etc.

Food prices are rising:
  • Cotton price is the highest in one hundred forty years.
  • Four thousand products use corn as one of its ingredients.
  • Eric Bolling was on as a guest.  He is the host of “Follow the Money”.
  • They showed a graph of corn prices and another of cotton.  Both show a steep rise.
  • One third of the corn crop is used to make ethanol.
  • Forty percent of corn goes to feed livestock.
  • Developing countries are increasing their consumption of everything, especially oil.

Lisa Bedford was a guest.  She is “The Survival Mom”.  She suggests that to start on a food storage program, start with a goal of having food for one week.  That will get you thinking about what you should buy and address issues like shelf life, etc.

Glenn related about his experience in accumulating food to last a year.  He said that once that program was complete, he felt that a great weight was lifted off his shoulders, and that as a dad he had really prepared his family if something bad happened.

Several audience members owned businesses.  They related how they are being affected by cost increases of materials their companies use and how they cannot always pass on their cost increases because their customers are also hurting.

Glenn Beck Program, November 17, 2010

Question du jure:  Will you trade your freedom for security?

The press is missing the big stories of the day for the royal engagement in Britain.  The big stories in America are currency devaluation, massive unemployment and a stalled economy.

The new airport screening procedures are getting people upset.
  • The capability of these machines is such that the images they create can show sweat on a person’s back.
  • Images are not supposed to be saved, but in some instances are.  Images from a courthouse in Orlando, FL are available on the Internet.
  • Michael Chertoff, former head of the Department of Homeland Security is now a consultant for the company that makes one of these scanners, Rapiscan.
  • Raipscan is owned by OSI Systems, Inc.  George Soros owned 11,000 shares of this company up until two days ago.
  • Significantly, President Obama has not given any public statements about the new procedures and the Rapiscan machines.
  • Other places use different procedures.  In Europe, they use dogs.  In Israel they use profiling.  And it works.

AFL/CIO
  • In the late 1990s, the union removed the rule that prohibited membership in the Communist Party.
  • Richard Trumpka, the head of the AFL/CIO, is working with the White House.
  • Glenn showed a clip with the Labor Commissioner of the Communist Party USA, saying he is working closely with the head of the AFL/CIO.

The National Socialist Party had a convention this weekend in New York.  A clip had a spokesperson talk about “…if you can’t change their minds, open their heads.”  Glenn then discussed the lack of interest by the media to the implied violence of this radical organization and their portrayal of the TEA Parties.

Why Scanners?

Glenn discussed various reasons scanners might be used at airports.
  1. They are the best way to protect travelers.
  2. They are OK, but my friends make money providing them.
  3. Top down, bottom up revolution.  (Refer to earlier programs on revolution in Czechoslovakia)
  4. Become heroes, create villains.  (When public becomes outraged, top officials can be seen rushing to the rescue to ban the scanners and point fingers at some group as the “bad guys” for using them.)

Glenn feels that the rationale that is used is a combination of 2 through 4.  He feels that the better approach is that used by the Israeli airline El Al.

The TSA is one more step closer to being unionized.  At the inception of the TSA, there was a big argument about whether the TSA should be unionized.  At the time, it was decided that it should not be.  Lately, DHS Secretary Napolitano stated that she saw no problem why the 50,000 employees should not be subject to collective bargaining.

Glenn showed a clip of a communist spokesperson saying they were “inspired” by the unrest in Europe.  The spokesperson also noted that in some cities in Europe that you cannot get around unless it is in the interest of the union.

Glenn Beck Program, November 16, 2010

Food prices are rising.

Clothing prices are due to increase because of increased cotton prices, as much as 30% by spring.

Europe is still having problems.
·        Spain unemployment – 20.5%
·        Portugal unemployment – 11%
·        Ireland unemployment – 14%

Ireland has been offered help by the European Union.  However, they have so far refused.  They apparently feel that if they accept the aid, they will lose their sovereignty.

Glenn had a guest, Rabbi Daniel Lapin.  They discussed the Tower of Babel story from the Old Testament.  Per the Rabbi, this is not strictly a story about building a physical tower.  It is a metaphor about an aspect of the human condition.  As such, this condition reoccurs over and over in history.  We can learn from this to discern the future.

The king at the time, Nimrod, first called for the building of bricks.  Rocks were also used for building structures, but a difficulty in using rocks is that they are each unique and it took great skill to fit one together with others.  Bricks, however, are identical in size and shape and are interchangeable in use.  In the metaphoric view, the bricks being referred to in the biblical text refer to the king taking rocks (people as unique individuals) and tried to make them the same and interchangeable (bricks).  Material things, materialism, was used a mortar to control people to do the king’s bidding.  The bricks were being used to build a tower.  This displeased God, so he converted the people back into rocks, i.e., made them individuals again.  At that point, the huge construction task could not be held together and the project stalled and finally collapsed.

Glenn Beck Program, November 15, 2010

In response to some critics saying that Glenn is “crazy” or he is lying, he recapped a number of things mentioned on his program that are now coming true.
  • Monitizing the debt
  • The New York Times running a story that the country is still careening towards bankrupcy.
  • Legislators are preparing a letter to send to Ben Bernanke urging him to stop QE-2
  • Glenn also recommended
    • Get out of debt
    • Get out of the stock market
    • Buy gold for protection
  • He also predicted prices will go up because of the printing of money by the Fed
    • Corn is up 20%
    • Tuition is up 7.9%
    • Wal-Mart Food survey, shopping cart is up 0.6% in 2 months.
  • Mexico has a problem with drug gangs.  7,100 people were killed in Mexico in the last 3 years.
  • People are announcing themselves:
    • Larry O’Donnell announces he is a socialist on MSNBC
    • The communist party releases a video showing ordinary Americans with normal interests who are also communists.
  • Radicals are rioting in Europe.  Glenn expects it to come to America as well.
  • He read a clip from a New York Times article that was very complementary about revolutionaries and radicals that meet at a location in New York City.  At the meeting being reported on, a good time was had by all.
  • He showed a clip of President Obama explaining how the Health Care Bill put in place a structure that will be available for adding to at a later date.
  • He showed a clip of the communist party announcement where they tout they are working together with the AFL/CIO.
  • He showed a clip of Paul Krugman appearing on a Sunday talk show discussing Death Panels and higher taxes are inevitable.  Sara Palin was just a bit early.
  • He touted again the book “5,000 Year Leap” http://www.amazon.com/5000-Year-Leap-Original-Authorized/dp/0880801484/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1289940077&sr=1-1

This book has political solutions to America’s problems.

For other type problems ask yourself –
  1. Does the solution being raised come from Washington?
If yes, does the solution match the ones listed in “Broke”?  Then vote appropriately.
            If no, vote and then…

  1. Educate yourself and your family.
  2. Find God, simplify your life, and find what is of real value.
  3. Get out of debt.  Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

A recent study found that the average American has $25,000 of unused stuff in their house.  Ask yourself, can that be better used to get ready?

New Boycott
  • There is a boycott announced of the new “Sara Palin’s Alaska” program on The Learning Channel.
  • The boycotting organization is the Credo Organization.
  •  Glenn notes that it is funded by George Soros.
  • Also noted were other participating organizations that one way or another were also funded in whole or in part by George Soros.

October Jobs Report
  • Glenn showed a clip where it was announced that 151,000 jobs were added to the economy in the month of October.
  • However, a researcher announced that the formula used to perform this calculation has been under modification.
  • This may explain why some predictions were off for October and several prior months.

Food Price Increases
  • Glenn announced that he now is working with ASAMOM.ORG and 912SUPERSENIORS.ORG.
  • Their members will monitor food prices in grocery stores daily and post results weekly.
  • You can check out their web sites for additional information.

Glenn Beck Program, November 12, 2010

The audience today was composed of West Point cadets.

Glenn discussed the role of the military in our society and pointed out that their efforts to protect us allowed us to do what we wanted.  He then asked if we were spending our time and effort on worthwhile things.  These soldiers, sometimes with their lives, were purchasing that time.

He compared some salaries….
  • US Army - $22,676.
  • Average US citizen - $50,462.
  • Average Federal Employee - $74,403.
  • Basic Congressman - $174,000.

Glen advocated that congressmen make no more than military service members.  Also, they get their medical care via the VA hospitals.  In addition, government employees should not earn more than the average US citizen.

He showed a clip of the peacetime activities of the military, e.g., built lighthouses, helped complete the Washington Monument, the Marines collect Toys for Tots, they deliver emergency supplies to stranded cruise ship passengers, etc.

He asked the cadets question about their backgrounds and what motivated them to apply to West Point.

He recommended visiting West Point for a unique experience.  Since Sept 11, 2001 it has become more difficult to get on the grounds there, so check well in advance if you plan to go.

George Soros – Continued

Soros
  • Considers himself as a kind of God.
  • He wants his organization to be the conscience of the world.
  • He has destabilized four countries.
  • In his words it’s a game.
  • In one clip, he stated that it was a lot of fun to destabilize those countries.
  • He is shown in one clip admitting he made a billion dollars destabilizing the British pound.
  • Is in favor of globalization.
  • He saw difficulties in achieving globalization, which caused him to focus on the United States as the chief impediment of that goal.
  • He believes “The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States.”
  • He currently advocates an orderly decline in the value of the dollar.

An orderly decline of the dollar is another term for inflation.  Glenn reviewed several food items and what their potential prices would be once inflation kicked in.  He said he checked with several experts and they all agreed that these potential prices were reasonable estimates…
  • One ear of corn - $11.00
  • A loaf of bread - $23.05
  • A 32 oz box of sugar - $62.21
  • A quart of soy milk - $24.31
  • A Can of Folgers coffee, 11 ½ oz - $77.71
  • 64 oz orange juice - $45.71
  • Hershey’s chocolate bar - $15.50

Glenn again urges everyone to do his or her own research.  There are many books on Soros available, three of which Soros himself has written.

How does Soros destabilize countries?  He has used the same pattern in each of the four countries he affected.  They are…

   Step        Action
  1. Form a Shadow Government.
    1. Use humanitarian aid as “cover”.
    2. In his view, these are subversive activities.
    3. The main organization he uses for this purpose is the Open Society Institute.
    4. Through the OSI, he donates about $500 million per year.
    5. OSI funded one third of shadow conventions during the 2000 election cycle.
    6. Arianna Huffington was involved then.  Glenn showed a clip of her on the speaker’s platform introducing the next speaker.
    7. Arianna Hunffington currently operates the Huffington Post.
    8. The Huffington Post recently received a large donation from Soros to hire reporters
    9. Soros spent over $100 million to achieve campaign finance reform.
  2. Control the Airwaves
    1. Soros has created his own media companies or donated to others.
    2. National Public Radio - $1.8 million
    3. Media matters - $1.0 million
    4. TEA Party Tracker.org - $1.0 million
    5. Think Progress
    6. Media matters
  3. Destabilize the State
    1. Weaken government
    2. Build anti-government feelings among the people.
    3. OSI funds the following organizations
                                                               i.      Tides Foundation
ii.      Apollo Alliance (Crafted the Stimulus Bill)
                                                            iii.      Center for American Progress
iv.      Institute for Policy Studies (Currently advocates President Obama use more Executive Orders to achieve progress rather than relying on congressional action.)
  1. Provoke an Election Crisis.
    1. OSI funds the following organizations.
                                                               i.      Acorn
                                                             ii.      Secretary of States Fund
iii.      One America Vote (Used illegal aliens to get out the vote in the November election.)
  1. Take Power – Stage mass demonstrations
    1. Glenn feels they are about to come.  Indications are…
                                                               i.      One Nation Rally
                                                             ii.      Tides Center
                                                            iii.      Raucous Group
                                                           iv.      Faith in Public Life
                                                             v.      Sojourners
                                                           vi.      Media matters
vii.      Glenn had written a list of Soros funded organizations on a large roll of paper.  He unrolled it to a length of about thirty feet and said that that list was less than half of the organizations.
viii.      (Ed. More information on George Soros can be had at Discover the Networks - http://discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=977 )

Glenn discussed the fall of the government of Czechoslovakia in 1946 that caused the Czechs to be absorbed into the Soviet Union.
  • The information about how this occurred came from Jan Kovak’s “Communist Strategy Paper”.
  • This paper was not supposed to be made public.
  • A copy of this paper was found in an old copy of the Congressional Record.
  • At that time, communists had taken control of the central government by a parliamentary maneuver.
  • Agitators were rioting in the streets.  Protests were common.
  • Unknown at the time was that the agitators on the streets were working with the agitators in the government.
  • The vast majority of the people felt alone and wanted the violence to stop.
  • The people were in the middle and asked the leaders to do something, not knowing they were in league with the rioters.
  • Ultimately, the Soviet Union took control.

Glenn showed a video clip of Van Jones speaking at some event.
  • As part of his closing remarks, Van Jones urged people to apply pressure from the top down, the bottom up and the inside out.
  • When Van Jones says bottom up, he means get out into the streets.

Glenn also showed a Soros created video clip that purports to show Soros as a good guy.
