A mystery guest today.  He was a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and knows of the Iranian leadership’s plans for Israel and welcoming the Madhi (12^th Imam).

Little Value

The man running the world’s largest bond fund says that the US Treasuries have little value.  “Gross Echoes Buffett Saying Treasuries Have ‘Little Value’, Dollar”

Costs Going Up

Warren Buffett also thinks the U.S. dollar is about to tank.

The Wal-Mart CEO says cost increases are coming at an alarming rate, inflation is “Going to be serious” in America.

Significant Food Shortages

The President is calling for decreased oil consumption and increased ethanol use.  This means more corn for cars.  Bloomberg reports…

“We will have inadequate acreage which without spectacularly favorable weather, will usher in a significant food shortage.”  This applies not just to the U.S., but also around the world.

How are we living

We have reached this point because we have been living way beyond our means – not just here but overseas as well.  Now, the people being turned to to fix these problems are the same people that caused the problems in the first place.  And they are enemies of freedom.  They are not honest brokers.

America, the Biggest Obstacle

George Soros said, “America is the biggest roadblock to an Open Society” (borderless, one world government).

Glenn feels many of our politicians in Washington are in bed with the enemy.

Dumb War

An extreme liberal has come out against a war that doesn’t affect the U.S., calling it a “dumb war”.  That was Senator Obama about the Iraq war.  Obama’s poll numbers have been going down whereas traditionally president’s poll numbers go up at the start of a military operation.

TimeLine

Glenn had a timeline on the chalkboard that covered the period between 2002 and today.  On that timeline, he put indicators for significant events he wished to highlight.

• She won a Pulitzer Price for it.
• Goes to Harvard to teach

• The U.N. adopts her doctrine, “A Responsibility to Protect” (against war crimes, genocide, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity”
• 2006 – 2006 – 2008 Libya hires a PR company, The Monitor Group, for $250,000 per month to improve Libya’s image. 
• This leads to a contact between Libya and George Soros.
• They also contact Samantha Power’s husband, Cass Sunsteen.
• Soros helps Gaddaffi’s son get into the London School of Economics.
• Soros becomes familiar with Power’s “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine and creates a global center around it.
• 2008 – Power works on Obama’s presidential campaign.
• She is fired when she calls Hillary Clinton “A monster”.  She is later rehired.
• 2009 –Anti-Semitic comments and jokes come from the Obama administration officials.  No one cares.
• Richard Faulk attempts to use the Power “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine against Israel for “war crimes”.

• “Obama’s NSC meets with Egyptian democracy advocates”

• The administration to “Review of its policy on democracy in the Middle East, the Egyptian democracy issue in particular.

• Other democracy groups are in attendance.  Most are funded by George Soros.
• Samantha Power was also in attendance.
• Power is seen by the New York Times as the “foremost human rights advocate in the White House.”
• She has the ear of the President.

2011 Obama uses the Responsibility to Protect doctrine to intervene in Libya.

• Power claims this as a personal triumph.
• January 2011 – When Egyptian demonstrations began, President Obama and administration officials acted surprised.
• Glenn showed a video of Leon Panetta, the head of the CIA, in Congress, saying that the got his news the way the congressmen did, via CNN.
• Glenn asks why they were surprised when the November 2010 meeting they reported that…

“Stability in Egypt is an illusion and we have to get on the right side of this thing.”  (Politico, Nov 10, 2010)

o       Glenn pulls out a BarBQ propane tank and places it atop his old style TV set.  He says that this gas is the missing link to why the Egyptians demonstrated in January instead of any other time.

o       In Egypt, Butane is used for everything.

o       In December 2009, Wikileaks released a cable from Cairo stating that in January 2011, the Egyptian government planned to ration butane.  A portion of the cable reads…

“The current proposal…thought still in the discussion phase would be to convert the butane subsidy to a voucher system.”

o       In August 30, 2010, the Egypt News reports…

“Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity, Ali Al-Mesechi said at a meeting of the ruling national Democratic Party (NDP) on Sunday that butane gas canisters will be sold to the public via coupon starting in January.  The system would be facilitated by the use of new electronic ration cards to ensure that the subsidized commodity would not b hoarded for resale on the black market.”

o       In October 2010, the Al-Ahram Weekly reported that…

“We have found that people are not enthusiastic about the idea of switching for in-kind to cash subsidies because there is a long culture of mistrust between citizens and the government, one that goes both ways.”

o       There were food riots in 2008 and the government had to continue food subsidies for 70% of the population.

o       The reason they were gong to ration gas use was because of the Kyoto protocol.  The Egyptian government chose this means as the way to meet their carbon reduction goals agreed to at Kyoto.

o       Knowing all this, is it reasonable that the administration was surprised?  Glenn says that you have to decide.

Ancient Books

• Glenn discusses a discovery in Jordan of 70 small books with lead pages held together with wire. 
• They were found in a cave known to have been inhabited by early Christians after the fall of Jerusalem. 
• These may be the “sealed books” mentioned in the Bible’s Book of Revelations.

The uprisings in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc, is seen by the regime as signs that the return of the 12^th Imam is near.

The video identifies Ahmenijhad as the general leading the Muslim armies to conquer Jerusalem, a prerequisite for the 12^th Imam’s return.

Glenn - Leftists are using people they feel are ridiculous (because they are religious) to create instability, but those people are dangerous.

Eric – I agree.  Leftists and Islamic fundamentalists both want to destroy and overthrow the Western, Judeo-Christian societies.  In the eyes of the Iranian regime, America is seen as the Anti-Christ.

Israel and Egypt

Glenn discussed Israel and how Egypt had helped protect Israel while all the other countries around it were hostile.  Also, how small it is.  This small area is the source of three of the world’s major religions.

Israel and the Alamo

He also discussed a trip he took to the Alamo in Texas and said that it reminded him of Israel.  He had the same feeling in both places – both are so small.

§         At the Alamo, less than 200 Texans held off 2,400 Mexicans for 13 days.

§         He showed a letter from Col William Travis asking for help in defending the Alamo.

§         Israel is also surrounded like the Alamo was.

§         Glenn calls for freedom lovers the world over to come to the aid of Israel.

He also called for people to stand up for God, Freedom and Families.

Jacob Barrett

Lastly, he showed a video of Jacob Barrett, a twelve-year-old boy with an IQ or 170.  He is a math whiz, has a photographic memory and is super capable.  In Glenn’s office Jacob was shown deriving equations and writing them on a window in Glenn’s office with a Marks-A-Lot.  He has skipped seven grades and is enrolled in college.  After the video, Glenn introduced him and his parents on the set and had a talk with them.

George Soros

• Glenn hasn’t called for opposing voices to be silenced.  He feels that it is better to keep debates in the light of day.  By challenging people, they become stronger.
• George Soros and his billions are starting, as they describe it, a “sabotage and guerilla war” against all of Fox News. 
• Glenn asks which is more dangerous to a free republic – a side that wants an open debate or a side that disguises himself, identifying himself as an Open Society while trying to silence all debate.
• Soros has funded the International Crisis Group (ICG). 
• Glenn suggests that you look it up and check it out. 
• It is involved in much of what happens overseas, especially Libya and Egypt.
• Glenn showed a copy of the June 2008 report “Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood – Confrontational or Integration?” put out by the ICG. 
• In it, the report called for normalizing relations between the Egyptian government and the Muslim Brotherhood…

“The regime should take preliminary steps to normalize the Muslim Brotherhood participation in political life.”

·        Elsewhere, Soros has called Israel “The main stumbling block”…

“In reality, Israel has as much to gain from the spread of democracy in the Middle East as the U.S. has, but Israel is unlikely to recognize its own best interest because the change is too sudden and carries too many risks.”

·        Soros also said…

“The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the U.S.”

·        Glenn notes that others that feel the same way as Soros are Iran and Al Queda.

Looking at Current Events

Glenn showed a split screen with four Middle Eastern countries in an uproar (Libya, Syria, Lebanon and Tunisia) and asked if we think this will lead to a happier world. 

·        Will it end well, or not so much?

·        Will this be a better end for Israel, or not so much?

·        Will it end well or not so much?

·        He goes with the “Not so Much” answer.

Palestine Timeline

·        Glenn showed a video of Obama at the U.N. giving a speech and saying that within a year (until September 2011), there could be a sovereign state of Palestine.

·        Also, an unnamed diplomat said…

“International recognition of Palestinian statehood appeared unavoidable in September.”

Responsibility to Protect

This doctrine calls for international states to take responsibility for other states behavior to protect people against…

·        Genocide

·        War Crimes

·        Ethnic Crimes

·        Crimes against humanity.

The above was the justification for the Libyan action even though Secretary of Defense Gates said Libya is not a vital interest for the U.S.

Additionally…

1.      Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian Prime Minister, called for Israel to stop its massacres.

2.      Abbas said he would give up millions in U.S. aid for unity with Hamas.

3.      Abbas orders draft legislation for the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state to be done within six months (September 2011).

4.      The Norwegian Socialists party is calling for action against Israel.

5.      The Muslim Brotherhood is ready to lead in Egypt/Libya.

In other events…

·        The U.N. is ready for Palestinian statehood.

·        (In last night’s speech on Libya, the President said that the U.S. will turn over operations to NATO on Wednesday.)

·        Today, Tuesday, the U.S. representative to the U.N. said that the U.S. will not turn over Libyan operations to NATO just yet because they have not decided whether to arm the Libyan rebels yet.

·        Samantha Powers, wife of Cass Sunsteen and White House advisor to President Obama, is on TV bragging that Obama triggered the Libyan uprising.  Glenn showed a video of Power discussing how she would deal with Israel.  Portions of her talk are repeated here…

“What we need is…put something on the line…alienating a domestic constituency…investing in the new state of Palestine…a mammoth protection force…pronounced.”

Glenn feels the Responsibility to Protect doctrine worked in Libya and they will try it again with Israel.

Richard Faulk

·        The U.N’s Special Representative on Human Rights in Occupied Palestine Territories

·        Wrote a letter back in 2009 in which he talked about Israel’s war crimes against the Palestinians. 

·        It was contained in an interview from the Institute for Policy Studies

o       Another George Soros group. 

o       This is the same group that begged Obama to rule by Executive Order.

·        The letter said, in part,

“A stronger General Assembly resolution would have set the stage for follow-up enforceable resolutions, possibly including mechanisms or even deploying a cease fire-enforcement or protection force, perhaps based on the Assembly’s own embrace of the protection doctrine known as the Responsibility to Protect.

Israel

·        Glenn feels that it is obvious that if you look at the facts where the next shot is headed.

·        Where is the person on the national stage that is standing up for Israel? 

·        Glenn declares that he is standing with Israel and asks where are you?

·        Do you stand with those in the Middle East most like us or those that are teaching to hide, blackmail, rewrite history, people who are trying to destabilize and create fear.

·        Why is the U.S. standing with all those against Israel?

·        Glenn then discussed al litany of actions taken within Muslim nations, e.g., stoning of adulterers, beheading of gays, not allowing women to even drive, etc, etc. versus Israel, the one true democracy in the Middle East.

President’s Speech

·        Glenn showed a montage of portions of the President’s speech on Libya in which he referred to himself, e.g., “I authorized”, “I will not allow”, etc.

·        Glenn said he is confused because he thought that the reason Britain and France were supposed to be in charge in Libya was so that it didn’t look like we are in a 3^rd war in a Muslim country. 

·        So why does the President want to take all the credit?

·        Additionally, with healthcare, the President didn’t care what the people thought.  Now, with Libya, he does.

Kill Team Photos

·        Glenn then discussed pictures from the U.S. Army’s Kill Team.

·        Five members posed with the dead bodies of those they had killed. 

·        These photos will make it harder for our troops to so their jobs. 

·        He asked who leaked those photos and why are they being discussed as if all soldiers are doing this?

The Right Thing

Glenn then discussed doing the right thing.  He recommends watching the 12^th Imam video on glennbeck.com (See here à http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/03/29/iran-believes-unrest-means-islamic-messiah-is-near/ ).  When the world is heading into chaos, he recommends going towards Faith, Hope and Charity.

He then showed an article from AsiaNews.it that reported on a Muslim mob attacking a Christian church because the mob felt that the church members were associated with Americans.  Two people were killed.

He then discussed personal responsibility and that people control their own actions.

Debt

·        The economists at the International monetary Fund (IMF) have reviewed countries and their debt situations and have determined that five countries can’t add any more debt.  They are…

1.      Iceland

2.      Italy

3.      Portugal

4.      Greece

5.      Japan (calculated prior to the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disasters)

·        The IMF estimates that the U.S. can add debt in the amount of 51% of its GDP or about $7 trillion.

·        The Wall Street Journal reports that…

“Countries that have their own currencies such as the U.S. and the U.K. can devalue their debts through inflation.  Governments can also require or persuade banks, pension funds and other institutions to buy relatively low yielding government debt…”

Cash for Keys

Now the government is talking about cash for keys – up to $21,000 to get people out of houses they can’t afford.  This is after the cash for clunkers and the cash for caulkers programs that both failed.  The cash for keys program, if implemented, will fail as well.

GE Taxes

GE paid no income taxes on $14 billion in profit.  It’s good to be Obama’s friend.

Politicians and the media told you that…

Part 1 The radical Islamists/communists/ socialists will

·        Work together against Israel.

·        Work together against capitalism.

·        Work together to overturn stability.

Part 2 is next. It is The Protests Become Contagious

·        They cascade

·        They sweep the Middle East

·        They begin to destabilize Europe and the rest of the world.

Is incorrect. 

• He asks why people are not admitting the above since it forecasts accurately what has been happening? 
• He feels that for them to be successful, they need you to be ignorant and unprepared.

The Middle East

• Tunisia - Might be the trigger of a larger series of events (uprising began on January 31^st.)
• Syria – Is experiencing snipers, car burnings, total chaos, violent protesters, burned down government offices, police officers attacked.
• Jordan – Fears of civil war as protests escalate, clashes with police.
• Yemen – 110 killed at a weapons plant. 
• The Yemeni President says he will make no more concessions. 
• He also said chaos looms.
• Libya – It’s not a war, it is a kinetic military activity. 
• The President is to explain. 
• The Left is OK with this. 
• Secretary of Defense Gates said on a Sunday talk show…”It (Libya) is not a vital national interest to the U.S.
• Glenn showed a newspaper headline “Jihadist that fought U.S. in Afghanistan now enjoy American support in Libya.”

So…we have

• A Nobel Peace Prize winning President encouraging unrest in the Middle East saying “Rise Up!”. 
• Now, people are rising up and getting killed everywhere. 
• Who then launches a 3^rd war against a Muslim nation that poses no immediate threat to this country. 
• He never made the case to the American people, and…
• There is no exit strategy or
• Answering the question “What does victory look like?”

Chaos.

Muslim Brotherhood

Now the New York Times has reported…

• That the Muslim Brotherhood has formed a tacit partnership with the Egyptian military. 
• And they are poised to gain control.
• Also in Libya.
• But the administration tells us that the Muslim Brotherhood is a peaceful, secular organization.
• Glenn then showed the video of the head of the Muslim Brotherhood preaching death to all Jews.

The Next Step…Part 2, Protests become contagious.

• In London this weekend, 500,000 protestors demonstrated.  Glenn showed some video of Police beating on people, windows being broken, graphiti being sprayed on walls, etc.
• He suggests reading “The Coming Insurrection”  (http://www.amazon.com/Coming-Insurrection-Semiotext-Intervention/dp/1584350806/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301374514&sr=8-1 )
• He said that the protests in England were led by trade unions.

·        Like here in the U.S., unions are in bed with politicians. 

o       Glenn showed video of candidate Obama discussing how he coordinated with various SEIU officials.

o       In the U.K., the Labor Party head claimed that the government has gone too far.

o       Glenn showed a quote from Stephen Lerner, calling for direct action…

“We’re in a moment where we need to figure out in a much more direct action much more concrete way how we really are trying to disrupt and create uncertainty for…how corporations operate.”

·        Per the London Telegraph, the anarchists went an upscale grocery store on a rampage and…

“The only time they showed any enthusiasm was when one member shouted ‘The Bank of America’s just been attacked in America!” And they all cheered.”

·        Glenn showed an article in “The Nation” magazine laying out a ten-point guide on “How to Build a Progressive Tea Party.” 

·        These groups all seem to attack the same targets.

o       Detroit – The UAW invaded and shut down a branch of the Bank of America for half an hour.

o       SEIU

·        Disrupted a bank in Pennsylvania.

·        Demonstrated at the home of a bank executive.

·        Stephen Lerner Update

o       SEIU has confirmed that Stephen is still on their payroll.

·        Francis Fox Piven has called for demonstrations here like the ones in Europe.

·        Glenn showed an Iranian video welcoming the 12^th Imam, as he is about to appear.

·        He showed a video of Louis Farrakhan saying that white Americans are daemons.

·        He then played an audio of the leader of the Black Panthers saying…

“You have fallen into this trap Barak Obama, and you should have listened to Louis Farrakhan a long time ago when you were at his table.  The white man’s time is up.

So we have…

·        Uprisings in the Middle East.

·        Unions and anarchists and uprisings in Europe.

·        Unions and anarchists and uprisings in the U.S.

·        The Vice Chair of the Communist Party USA, Scott Marshall, on video was discussing Madison, WI.  He said that there is a radicalization in the legislatures he has never seen before.

·        Glenn showed a video of a U.S. Senator at a Planned Parenthood rally saying that the Republicans are lying about budget concerns and that “They don’t deserve the freedoms that are in the Constitution.”

Acorn has gone global. 

Media Matters

·        Hillary Clinton helped create.

·        Original mission was to correct conservative media misinformation.

·        Now, David Brock, the head of Media Matters says they will focus almost exclusively on Fox.

·        In the Politico, they wrote of media Matters…

“The strategy that we had had towards Fox was basically a strategy of containment.”  Now it is guerilla warfare and sabotage.

“The group will focus on Newscorp CEO Rupert Murdoch and try to disrupt his commercial interests whether they be here or looking at what is going on in London right now.”

·        Glenn points out that this is the same strategy called for by Stephen Lerner in his Economic Terrorism talk.  (See here for more details à http://beck-cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2011/03/glenn-beck-program-march-23-2011.html ).

·        A Jewish group took $200,000 from George Soros’ Open Society Institute last year.  Now, they are beginning a campaign to get Glenn off the air, both TV and radio.

Today, the President will be discussing his Libya strategy, nine days after he began military operations.

Glenn thinks Israel is being set up for a fall.

Looking Evil in the Eye

• Glenn showed pictures of Palestinians celebrating the murder of five members of the Fogel family.
• Per the Washington Examiner, in Libya, we may be arming Gaddafi rebels with weapons. 
• Per the Daily Telegraph, these are the same people that were fighting American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan but are now being supported by American airplanes in Libya
• A U.S. Military Academy study concluded…

“Libya contributed far more fighters per capita to Al Queda in Iraq than any other nationality…including Saudi Arabia.”

• Glenn showed a Jerusalem Post headline…

“French PM: Palestinian state must be created in 2011.”

• The Responsibility to Protect (See here for more details à http://beck-cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2011/03/glenn-beck-program-march-24-2011.html ) .  Glenn thinks this was the motivation to do military action in Libya.  Some people already want to apply this principal to Israel and the Palestinians.
• Who is urging protection of the Palestinians from the Israelis?  It is Richard Faulk, the U.N.’s Special Representative on Human Rights in Occupied Palestine Territories.  Mr. Faulk compared the Israelis to the Nazis.  He also said…

“Protective action must be taken immediately to offset the persisting and wide-ranging violations of the fundamental human right to life, and in view of the emergency situation that is producing a humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding day by day.”

• Glenn then gave some background on Stephen Lerner.

History of the Fed

• The Fed’s history according to the Fed (From their web site http://www.federalreserve.gov/ )

“After Alexander Hamilton spearheaded a movement advocating the creation of a central bank, the First Bank of the United States was established in 1791.”

·        But the First Bank wasn’t the Fed.  That bank’s charter ran for 20 years and, because of problems, was not renewed.

“The situation deteriorated to such an extent that in 1860, a bill to charter a Second Bank of the United States was introduced in Congress.”

·        The charter for that bank ran for about 20 years and it too wielded too much power and influence, so it’s charter was not renewed.

“In 1907 a severe financial panic jolted Wall Street and forced several banks into failure…Many Americans (thought) their banking structure was badly out of date and needed major reform.”

·        A bill to form the Fed was introduced in 1907.  It was signed into law in 1913.

• However the final bill to form the Fed was drafted in 1910 on an island off the coast of Georgia, Jekyll Island.

• Represented for this purpose were the Rothschilds, the Morgans, the Rockefellers and the Warburgs. 

• These four families controlled one forth of the total wealth of the entire world.

• They were competitors and came together to draft this legislation to form, together with the government, a cartel.  In effect, it is an OPEC for money.

·        Jekyll Island Meeting Objectives

1.      To stop the growing competition from new banks.

2.      Obtain a franchise to create money.

3.      Get control of all bank’s reserves.

4.      Shift losses to taxpayers.

5.      Convince Congress of the stated purpose of the Fed to be to protect taxpayers.

• The Fed is privately owned.
• The President of the U.S. appoints the head of the Fed.  However, he may only select from a list of names submitted by the Fed.
• It is not public and not private.

• Historically, the Fed, through easy money policies, has created “bubbles”. 
• When one bursts, they start working on the next one. 
• After the dot com bubble, it was the housing bubble. 
• After the housing bubble, it is the stock market bubble.
• The Fed governors are afraid that outsiders will discover they don’t know what they are doing.
• The Fed claims it is not creating more money, but what they are doing is digitally adding sums to selected bank accounts.  The effect is the same.
• I think we are headed for real tough times.
• The Fed here talks to (coordinates with) other country’s central banks.
• The Fed’s support for the British pound in 1929 was a major factor in the collapse of the stock market.
• They are not looking out for the American people as much as they are for each other.
• We can see inflation in the high single digits, not to the level of Zimbabwe or the Weimar Republic.
• Because of inflation, or to fight inflation, interest rates will have to rise.
• To deal with inflation, you should invest in yourself because labor will always have some value.
• Otherwise, buy some commodity – gold, silver, land.

Griffin

• It’s a ponzi scheme that works as long as the money supply keeps expanding.
• The only thing they can do is create money.
• Glenn has talked to some congressmen who have asked to see the gold in Ft Knox (that backs up our currency) and they have not been allowed to see it.
• Griffin doubts there is any gold in Ft Knox.
• Reliable information on the Fed was scarce when he started the book.  However, more information has been forthcoming over time.
• Griffin’s view is that they are taking this financial power and converting it to political power.
• Their vision is to control nations, to control society, to control the world.
• “A New World Order” is their term and they use it all the time.
• They understand that if you control the leadership of the major social organizations, you can control the masses.
• All leaders of these major organizations fall into line.
• The book was first published in 1994.
• The scariest item is the Mandrake Mechanism.  That is the process used to create money.
• Technically, we can get rid of the Fed if Congress approves – but they won’t.
• The government is not telling us the truth about the real inflation rate.  I think it is about 20% right now.

• Per Art Laffer, to tame inflation the interest rates would have to be substantially higher than back in the 1970s and 1980s (was about 20% then).
• Interest rates at 25% would stop the economy.
• Utah just passed a law that allows gold as well as U.S. dollars to be used as currency.  He didn’t know how that would work out.
• Someone asked about how you survive if you are just starting out and have nothing. 
• Look at the pilgrims and the pioneers. 
• They had nothing but God and each other.
